Function: Measure the wear resistance of materials.

Unique wear process:
Place the material to be tested on the turntable, and press two grinding wheels with a certain weight on the material to wear it.
The grinding wheel rotates with the rotating surface of the sample disc, generating relative motion and wear. During the rotation process, the offset of the grinding wheel shaft relative to the rotating axis of the turntable produces sliding motion, thereby wearing the material.
When a sample with an area of 10x10cm is subjected to wear, the surface material of the sample is worn by particles or silk like fabric at all angles, forming a complete circular ring.
The TABER abrasion tester has two models to choose from - single test bench or dual test bench:
•Counter linear wear testermodel: 5135T, single test bench.
•Counter linear wear testermodel: 5155T, dual testing platform, two workstations controlled by independent control panels, can test two samples separately or simultaneously.

Choosing different grinding wheels and accessories can simulate different real wear situations for different experiments;
The selection of grinding wheel abrasives has undergone strict quality control, resulting in high quality and good stability;
Repeated testing can be conducted on the same material at the same point, and materials with a thickness of approximately 0.5 'may be damaged or worn off.
The electronic measurement dial can rotate at two speeds: 60 and 72 revolutions per minute;
The vacuum cleaner removes debris, and the suction arm of the vacuum pump is connected to the adjustable device on the back of the instrument through a hinge, which can adjust the height to adapt to different sample thicknesses;

All TABER abrasion testing machines use a sealed aluminum casing, equipped with a diaphragm control panel and multiple control keys, numeric keypad, and input keys, with LED digital display. The operation panel has the following functions:
• Rotation speed selection key - used to set the rotation speed
• Vacuum degree - adjustable suction of vacuum pump
• Rubbed revolutions - displays the completed revolutions (automatically starts counting after pressing the start button)
• Run the vacuum cleaner - used to clean the drive shaft and sample stage
The pressure applied to the grinding wheel is measured in grams. The instrument is equipped with 250g and 750g stainless steel weights, which enable the pressure of the friction wheel to reach 500g and 1000g. Note: The weight indicated on the weight is the weight of the entire friction wheel, including the friction arm.
